Lamia is the 65. fastest growing company in Europe

Lamia has been recognized as the 65th fastest-growing company on FT100: Fastest Growing Companies in Europe 2019.

This is the first time Lamia was chosen the list, which Financial Times published for the third time in cooperation with Statista. This year, 17 Finnish companies made it to the list, of which Lamia is the second fastest growing.

Lamia is a technology company that provides design, software development, cloud and data services. The company has been profitable since its first operative year. The annual turnover for 2018 was over €5,1 million.

“We knew that we have had some good momentum, but such a high ranking at European level surprised us,” says co-founder Lauri Järvenpää.

This is not the first time Lamia’s growth has been recognized. In 2017 Deloitte chose Lamia as the fourth fastest-growing tech company in Finland.

“First and foremost, we have invested in being a pioneer in digital services both qualitatively and technologically. It is one of the key factors of our success but is not enough in itself. From the very beginning, our strategy has been to find the right professionals, whose skills and development we invest in both as individuals and as teams. We feel that this recognition is a by-product of these two factors,” Järvenpää analyses.

FT1000 lists the top 1000 companies in Europe that have achieved the highest percentage growth in revenues between 2014 and 2017. Last year, Lamia abandoned all growth targets and decided to shift its focus towards developing the business in the long run.

“We aim to bring unique expertise of e-commerce technology, data and service design to the market. By combining these services, we can create real added value for our customers,” comments co-founder Henri Halmelahti.
